Work with the ‘go-to-solution’ for SEO testing
For busy engineering teams, making large volumes of intricate, time-consuming, and repetitive changes based on guesswork alone can be a high-risk, low-reward task. SearchPilot's powerful SEO A/B testing minimizes that risk by enabling SEOs to test ideas to see what works before requesting engineering time for site-wide rollout.
Focus resources on impactful changes. Make more data-backed decisions. Get a business case with every request. Never deploy a losing website change again.
SEO A/B testing with engineers in mind
We're laser-focused on SEO testing and immersed in networking, CDN performance, routing, and infrastructure. We don’t give you more tactics. We help you identify what works.
- Discover what delivers. SearchPilot enables SEO teams to test ideas in a controlled environment to see what works before requesting engineering time.
- Only roll out winners. With valuable data and insight, engineers can make evidence-backed, winning changes to the website. Fewer changes, better results.
- Benefit from SEO team autonomy. Our users can make their own changes, run their own tests, and get things done without relying on your engineering expertise, time, and resources.
- Smarter budget allocation. Prioritize requests based on quantitative data to help you invest time, budget, and resources wisely. Ensure your roadmap is a driving force for ROI.
Choose from Proxy, API, or the Edge implementation
Our server-side SEO A/B testing platform enables flexible deployment through Proxy, API, or Edge implementation options. No need to change systems or redesign architecture, simply choose what works for you.
Proxy mode
When you choose proxy mode, SearchPilot sits in front of your origin servers and behind your existing CDN. In the event of an application error, servers fall back to transparent proxy mode. Enjoy fast, no-code deployment, platform independence and full HTML control.
API integration
We integrate with your existing systems via API, ideal for enterprise teams with strict data requirements and security processes, as well as those with dedicated development resources for building tests. Benefit from high performance, flexible data integration, and scalability.
SEO testing on edge
Combine the flexibility of proxy mode with maximum performance, IT-managed governance and strong security. Edge implementation is available on compatible CDNs offering full WASM support, such as CloudFlare and Fastly.
Why engineers love working with SearchPilot
SearchPilot provides customers with quantified data and insight, so every engineering request has a projected uplift. This allows you to make website changes that count, drive revenue, and impact the bottom line.
Handles billions of monthly page views
We operate across 8 AWS regions worldwide. Traffic is load balanced in each region across auto-scaling servers, provisioned to maintain a level of redundancy in platform capacity. In the unlikely event of AWS failure or outage, traffic routes around SearchPilot, so your site stays running.
Designed for maximum site performance
Our ‘change engine’ analyzes and adapts pages with almost no impact on load speed (typically under 25 milliseconds). Actual time depends on HTML file size and the distance from our servers to yours. Our global infrastructure ensures this is minimal. We can also run tests to see how SearchPilot would perform on your site.
Platform-independent SEO A/B testing
Our customer websites are served from the likes of Sitecore, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and more, all across a range of hosting solutions and cloud environments. They also use various CDN providers, including Akamai, CloudFlare, Fastly, and Amazon CloudFront.
Easy to integrate into your tech stack
SearchPilot modifies pages' HTML content and HTTP headers as they pass through our cloud platform. Because we operate directly on HTML, SearchPilot is independent of any CMS or system that produces that HTML. For sites that use a lot of JavaScript, our framework-agnostic JavaScript integration applies client-side changes in the user’s browser.
Designed for enterprise collaboration
Collaboration and scalability are key to enterprise success. SearchPilot runs tests on templated sets of pages that receive 1,000+ organic daily sessions, so large sites can run multiple tests simultaneously. It also enables easier SEO, engineering and product team collaboration thanks to evidence-backed requests, attributable ROI and effective resource use.
HTTPS Traffic and TLS/SSL Certificates
All connections, from origin to CDN, are secured with HTTPS. Connections to the CDN and from SearchPilot to your servers will use your current certificate. Traffic between the CDN and SearchPilot is encrypted with our TLS certificate, maintaining encryption for every transmission step.
We already meet your data and security standards
We work with our customer and prospects’ security and data teams to ensure safety, compliance and effective data handling from the start.
Security and compliance
We approach security both at a user level and at a systems level. We work with independent third parties to certify our security and compliance procedures. We’re ISO27001 certified (very similar to SOC2) and HIPAA compliant. We also undergo regular penetration testing from a security consultancy.
Service provider assessments
For e-commerce sites, we are assessed as a PCI DSS v3.1 Service Provider. Upon request, we can provide an Attestation of Compliance and our information security policies. We run quarterly internal and external Approved Scanning Vendors (ASV) scans using two separate providers, overseen by an independent consultant.
Data protection and GDPR
Our system never stores your network traffic or website users’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We also sign Data Protection Agreements (DPAs) with our customers, with us serving as the Data Processor for customer data covered under the GDPR.
Robust access and data management
SearchPilot offers a single sign-on (SSO) solution that can be used by any identity provider using SAML. User permissions allow you to grant or restrict capabilities across team members, and engineers can get specific permissions to update their origin server details and control failover.
How SearchPilot works
We don’t split users, we split pages. Each page has one version, one page to crawl, one robust result. With every test, we:
- Create statistically-similar buckets of control and variant pages.
- Create a forecast of expected traffic to the group of pages you’re testing on.
- Measure the organic traffic to the two buckets.
- Calculate whether any difference in traffic compared to the forecast is statistically significant.
Any platform, no coding required
SearchPilot integrates with any setup. Choose from Proxy, API, or Edge. We apply tests directly to your HTML, so there are no source code changes. We work with any CMS, CDN, or server.
Built to handle high traffic
We use a high-availability infrastructure across 8 global data centers in AWS. We are trusted by some of the world’s highest-traffic websites and biggest names in e-commerce.
A unique testing methodology
Our proprietary neural network model considers factors like seasonality, competitor activity, algorithm updates and AI influence, so you’ll only ever act on tests with proven wins.
Easy analytics integration
SearchPilot connects to Google Analytics (including GA360) and Adobe Analytics, as well as enabling custom reports to help you communicate test results to your organization.
